Selecting a Series Using Search

To select a record series using Search:

1. Click the Search button next to the Record Series field. A search window opens.

2. Enter all or part of the series title in the field provided. Versatile assumes wildcards before and after the characters entered, and ignores capitalization.

Example:

When you enter cor, the following record series search results display:

C001. - Correspondence
C002. - Corporate Workpapers
G993. - General Correspondence
S062. - Score Cards

3. Click Lookup. The search results display in list format.

To view the record series description for a series in the list, move the mouse over the [?] to the right of the series name. The description displays in a pop-up window.

4. Click the name of the record series to select it. Versatile returns to the originating page. The series selected dis­plays in the Record Series field.

To clear the record series selection:

If a series is already selected when you click Lookup, the Clear button displays. Click Clear to remove the currently selected series.

Versatile returns to the originating page. “None” displays in the Record Series field.
